Blepharoplasty is an aesthetic procedure used to treat different types of eyelid bags and improve the appearance of the eye area.

Types of Eyelid Bags

There are 3 types of eyelid bags:

1. Caused by fat herniation from the three fat pads located under the eyes.

2. Due to laxity of the orbital septum, a ligament made of collagen and elastin that supports the periocular area.

3. Skin flaccidity, both superficial and deep.
